Back IEC launches improved webstore

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has launched a new and improved webstore featuring easier navigation and a more personalized experience for the standards community.

Users can now enjoy a more intelligent search engine with extra filtering options to make standards easier to find, and have additional functions in their personal account space, including being able to track favourite standards and access invoices. Standards users can also get access to more detailed information about the standards themselves, see related standards and added value options such as commented or extended versions.

Users can also now check the status of standards they have purchased in real time, and are therefore able to see if the standards have been updated or replaced with a more recent version. Guilaine Fournet, IEC head of Sales and Business Development, said the changes have been made to better meet the needs of those who visit the site as well as potentially attract new buyers.

“International standards are comprised of extensive global expertise and best practice, developed and updated based on market trends and requirements,” Fournet said. “What’s more, many standards are relevant across multiple sectors. It is therefore important that users can easily find the one that meets their needs and are abreast of any changes.”
