Q-Lab is excited to exhibit its complete line of weathering and corrosion test chambers at CETEX, including the announcement of the Q-SUN Xe-8 - the NEW standard in large capacity, rotating rack xenon arc weathering testers. As the latest addition to our existing Q-SUN xenon arc product line the introduction of the Q-SUN Xe-8 provides an ideal option for electronics manufacturers testing large numbers of specimens. This complements Q-Lab’s existing test chamber portfolio, including the QUV accelerated weathering tester – the world’s most widely-used weathering tester - and a range of Q-FOG cyclic corrosion testers.

The key challenge in consumer products testing and development is performing testing that balances the importance of fast, accelerated test results with the need for realism and correlation to actual in-service performance. Some modern standards organizations and large companies have taken a closer look at how to better simulate and speed up degradation caused by outdoor test conditions, but it remains difficult for many manufacturers to set aside older, established tests for modern protocols, even if the latter have a more solid scientific basis.

CETEX is a key event for Q-Lab because electronics systems weathering and corrosion resistance continues to increase in importance worldwide. Q-Lab’s goal is to make sure that electronics manufacturers are aware of the latest developments in test technology – including the Q-SUN Xe-8 - and can properly develop the best test program for their products.
